Simon Sagmeister is the author of Business Culture Design and creator of the Culture Map approach. He is founder and CEO of The Culture Institute, based in St. Gallen (Switzerland), and a partner at the Science House in New York.

Simon combines academic knowledge with first-hand leadership expertise and intercultural experience. He has honed his focus on corporate culture throughout his professional and academic career. He worked in organizational development at Julius Blum, and has been a management consultant for Oliver Wyman and the Malik Management Zentrum St. Gallen.

Simon Sagmeister received his Ph.D. summa cum laude from the University of Innsbruck for his thesis on “The Development of Cultural Competence.” His academic career further took him the European Business School in London, the University of Sydney, ESADE Barcelona, Copenhagen Business School, and Columbia University, New York City.
